All 3 are GLP-1 drugs that mimic the natural hormone in your body that regulates appetite. Wegovy has the active ingredient semaglutide that is administered weekly, and could help you lose ~20% of your weight. Mounjaro has the active ingredient tirzepatide that is administered weekly, and could help you lose up to ~22% of your weight. Victoza has the active ingredient liraglutide that is administered daily, primarily used for type 2 diabetes management, and supports modest weight loss. Individual results may vary. Weight loss depends on adherence to treatment and lifestyle modifications.

Is there an eligibility criteria?

Adults 18+ with a BMI of ≥ 27.5 (or ≥ 23 with certain health risks). Doctor confirmation is required.

Contraindications

- Personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC).

- Patients with Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).

- Pregnancy, as weight loss offers no potential benefit during this time and can harm an unborn baby.

- Allergic reactions to semaglutide (Wegovy), liraglutide (Victoza), tirzepatide (Mounjaro) or any other components of these medications.
